WELCOME TO CUB SCOUTING IN PARIS!

Who can join?

Boys in grades 1-5 (American system)

Cost

Approximately 835FF per scout. (DOD card holders 360FF) This covers all required uniform patches, badges and awards, Boys Life magazines, insurance and helps maintain the scout program in Europe. Uniforms are extra.

Organization

Cub Scouts are organized by age and grade level into dens. All the dens belong to a Pack. All Cub Scouts in Paris and the surrounding area belong to Paris Pack 112.

Meetings

The Pack meets once a month generally at the American School of Paris on a Saturday afternoon from about 1-3:30. Pack 112 enjoys many fun activities throughout the year including two camp-outs, the Pinewood Derby, and events emphasizing sports, academics, citizenship and learning new skills.

Dens usually meet twice a month, but can be scheduled according to what works best for the group and the leader. Dens consist of no more than 8 boys and are organized by grade level, school and location. Each boy follows an age-appropriate book of achievements towards a rank. Boys complete achievements with parents at home and in den meetings. Activities focus on health, family, citizenship and skills for life.

Parental Involvement

Absolutely! Cub Scouting in Paris depends on parent volunteers to make it all happen. As our Paris ex-pat community is ever transient there is always the need to fill many roles. Organizing events takes many hands. Parental supervision is required for all camp outs.
